Aaron Peters
Aaron has been in the field of horticulture for 20+ years. A graduate of Rend Lake College in 2002 with a degree is horticulture; he has quickly developed the skills that have led to his success. Aaron is the general manager of Family Roots Nursery, creating all of the landscaping designs &overseeing the installation, ordering all plants & materials, the bearer of all knowledge. He is willing and able to help you with any lawn/garden questions or needs, just ask. This career is his life—his calling. Aaron is married to Andrea, they have no children.

Andrea Peters
Andrea is the office manager/buyer. She is a 2008 graduate of Southern Illinois University. She handles all of the office needs & wholesale accounts. Andrea enjoys taking part in the family owned business daily activity & decision making. She enjoys traveling with her husband Aaron & spending time back “home” in Illinois with her family & friends.

Charles Peters
Charles has a great deal of experience in the chemical & fertilizer field, therefore bringing to the business a license in turf & ornamental applications. Charles is also the manager of irrigation sales, service & installation for Family Roots Nursery. He has the old fashioned attitude that customer service gains more than advertising.

Judy Peters
Judy has worked with the public for 40+ years in the nursing field, which has allowed her to be exceptional in selecting the right gift or flower for any occasion. Having a great attitude for life, Judy can adjust to help with any emotional situation that may arise in selecting flowers & gifts. She is also a great asset in the greenhouse, she is our “nurse” if something has upset any or our plants she is quick to diagnose them and get them back to the quality of material we strive to carry. If you have any questions about what might be wrong with one of your plants be sure & check with Judy for a diagnosis.

Glenda Edele
Glenda joined Family Roots Nursery in May 2008, bringing with her little horticulture & floriculture experience. She has grown to be a very knowledgeable asset to Family Roots Nursery. She is a full time employee of both the greenhouse & fresh cut floral departments. Anytime there is a fresh floral need she is sure to come up with the most appropriate arrangement. Working long hours in the spring she is sure to oversee all the needs of the greenhouse. Glenda enjoys spending all of the time she can with her husband Mike, their two children & their families.
 
 
Bryan “Papa” Gregory

Bryan joined us in 2010, he works in the greenhouse and outdoor displays keeping everything watered, healthy and attractively displayed. Papa says his greatest enjoyment at work comes from interactions with customers and making sure folks get what they want and need. He’s happiest when he can introduce others to plants they may not have considered before or to new gardening ideas.
Bryan mostly enjoys (surprise!) gardening even when he’s not gardening at Family Roots. He says it seems as though he plants at least something every week of the year and spends a significant amount of time each day caring for his plantings. Beyond gardening and plants Papa enjoys woodworking and always has at least a few books he’s reading. He even recently was silly enough to purchase a sailboat and now awaits enough wind to see if he really enjoys sailing, too!
